2001 Chardonnay Barrel Fermented

Tasting Date: 7 December 2015

Still building in stature, the wine is now full and rich with a mineral-driven focus. Plush aromatics lead onto a palate of sweet fruit. Chardonnay's wealthier notes balanced by a salty-fresh spine. Will continue to develop for some years.

Tasting Date: 15 November 2013

After 12 years in bottle, this wine is still growing in stature. Delicate aromatics of peach, nectarine and mint. The powerful core is firmly grasped by fine, skeletal structure. Ripe notes underpinned by polished stone minerality.  Holding well.

Tasting Date: 11 November 2008

This chardonnay shows fresh citrus and summer fruit notes with a background note of flint. This theme is followed through onto the palate with vibrancy, fruit clarity and definition. The fruit intensity eventually subsides to leave a crisp and mineral finish. This is a finely balanced wine, still youthful and very classy. One of our favourites.
