2010 Pinot Noir Calvert

Tasting Date: May 2011

While the classic Felton Road florals are here, it is the sweet core of berries that marks the nose with a touch of sandalwood. The palate has serious textural weight, but as always with Calvert, it’s carried tautly with the fruit held firmly in its core.  Sweet berries and redcurrants rather than cherries or plums.  The tannins have a slightly inky rather than chocolate imprint which are framed in dark roses through the finish.
