Wine Taste Weekly, Tyson Stelzer, April 2014
There is wonderful interplay between sweetness, acidity and mineral texture in the great Rieslings of the world and Felton Road manages to achieve this with delightful finesse. 73g/L of residual sweetness meshes seamlessly with finely mineral texture and elegant lemon blossom notes. 95 points.

This extraordinary seductive riesling is technically sweet, with 73g/l of residual sugar, but it does in fact taste medium/dry. Sweetness is restrained by fine, fruity acidity in a way that produces delicious tension. I noted chalky mineral flavours with lime, apricot and orange blossom characters that are subtle but clearly evident. The wine will age magnificently. it’s a Central Otago classic. 98 points *****
