2001 Riesling

Tasting Date: 16 November 2007

A funky developed nose with wet wool, kerosene and citrus notes. New world Riesling fans won’t like this, but devotees of some of the classic Mosel producers may be enthusiastic! The initial vibrancy of the palate flows into kerosene with reductive notes, but the stonefruit sweetness pulls one back from the brink. This wine is a real interplay between the sweet mouthfeel and the secondary influences of the nose.
