Deep in colour, the honeyed aromatics are now rich and intense with limey, waxy characters and complexing clover-florals. The entry is oily and rich with zesty curd. A citrus-spine lifts from the mid palate, driving forwards with persistent intensity. Still showing incredible freshness and youth at 12 years of age with plenty of life remaining.

Felton Road Riesling Block 1 is also worthy of a mention. Not only did it complete the most excellent trio of New Zealand Rieslings I have seen, but it is another of these wines that sports staggering levels of residual (63 grams) but looks terrifically fit.
